The manager of Team Spirit revealed the real salary of top players in Dota 2.

In an interview with the Telegram channel Mapa Mag, Ruslana "DKLana" Berest, the manager of Team Spirit , revealed that the best players in Dota 2 and CS2, reportedly make no more than $20,000 in salary.

" Player salaries in disciplines like Dota 2 and CS2 are based upon region and player skill. Beginners earn between $500 and $1000 while the best in their fields make $20,000. But tournaments are a different story altogether," she stated.

From what she remarked, it is quite clear that both the region and the player’s level contributes to the amount of salary that is given. However, DKLana makes an important point of how even the top players from their respective fields make less than $20,000 a month as the ceiling value.

While the manager emphasized that pro player's make a significant amount through tournaments, she also explained the details of how prize money was allocated as well as the salary during tournaments.
