Quinn is shocked by the state of Dota 2 matchmaking and has proposed a radical solution to Valve
Quinn Callahan, a midlaner for Gaimin Gladiators , has recently expressed his concerns over the state of the matchmaking system claiming that it has been wreaked by boosters and smurfs, and recommended that Valve drop support for MMR boosting to help deal with this issue.
This was revealed by the e-sports player himself through his social media previously known as Twitter.
"The wintrading and mmr boosting is the most rampant and disgusting i've ever seen. Can valve PLEASE DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT. Remove double downs whatever I dont care how can it possibly take this long to come up with ANY solution im losing my mind"
Quinn’s disbelief extends to the fact that there is no action being taken by Valve to handle the issues smurfing has created for so many players which is why he recommended that they consider doing the impossible of getting rid of double rating tokens. Many players have come out saying that the existence of these tokens has fueled smurfing which was not as much of an issue before it.
