Maelstorm explained why Puppey is moving to Natus Vincere
Vladimir "Maelstorm" Kuzminov, a Dota 2 commentator, stated that Clement "Puppey" Ivanov may have indeed joined Natus Vincere because he could no longer assemble a promising roster on his own.
Maelstorm shared this in his Telegram channel.
"Just yesterday, insiders were reporting a roster of Yuragi , sanctity-, BOOM , Zayac , and Malady . Today, Puppey is announced instead of Malady ! We're waiting for official confirmation.
In theory, this could happen since Clement and Zayac took second place at TI2022. Moreover, like in Solo 's situation, it's difficult for Clement to find a strong lineup on his own.
Without recent achievements, no one wants to join him, but here he has a chance to show he still has what it takes!"
According to Maelstorm, Puppey might be in a situation similar to that of Alexey " Solo " Berezin. In his opinion, both players currently lack the ability to assemble a team that could truly compete on the pro scene.
Thus, Maelstorm believes Puppey decided to prove he's still a top-tier player by joining an already established team, especially since he has connections with some of the members.
