Arteezy named the main problem of pro players in Dota 2
Arteezy talks about burnout in professional Dota 2
Artur “ Arteezy ” Babayev is of the opinion that professional Dota 2 players are well rewarded only if they win, and a series of losses becomes a problem and leads to burnout which cannot even be compensated by an increase in salary.
The pro player shared his view during one of his twitch broadcasts on Janne “Gorgc” Stefanovski’s channel where he compared the careers of a streamer who plays Dota 2 games and a professional player.
“So there were ups and downs. Streaming? Bad day – you don not get paid. Unless we’re winning nothing good happens. Two weeks of bootcamp sparring, last place at TI, and understanding that this will be going on for the next 300 days is what it means. This is never taken for granted.”
Artur " Arteezy " Babaev has also revealed that when he was starting out as an esportsman, he had too much desire to win and attempts to break into streaming failed because as luck would have it the cyber athlete could not find normal teammates in matchmaking. The pro-player said that while casting matches, nobody wanted to play matchmaking for wins which sometimes made him think that people on his team were trying to drive him crazy with their antics in ranked games.
It should be remembered though that at the end of July 2024 Artur " Arteezy " Babaev moved to Shopify Rebellion 's bench after failing miserably together with his squad. At the time, the cyber athlete stated that he was going to take a break from Dota 2. However, in a recent statement, the pro player said that he is actively negotiating a move to Team Secret .
