Team Liquid coach speaks out on the team's defeat in the Riyadh Masters 2024 Grand Final
William “Blitz” Lee, a popular Dota 2 caster, has admitted that he was not surprised with the second place finish in Riyadh Masters 2024 because he has had similar results before. However, since joining Digital Chaos as their coach, the team hasn’t tasted victory.
A twitch interview where Team Liquid Coach spoke his mind out to the fans of this game.
‘No special feelings; I have come second previous times only but I can no longer recall what triumph feels like. My last first position was at an ESL event while coaching for Digital Chaos a long time ago. Second or third place – what difference does it make?’
It should be noted that William ‘Blitz’ Lee coached Digital Chaos to win at ESL One Genting 2017.
Team Liquid lost their match against Gaimin Gladiators for the first grand finals berth and then dropped down into lower bracket where they fought Team Falcons and won their ticket to the deciding match. Nevertheless, Team Liquid was beat by opponents in three straight maps during grand finals taking up second place at a tournament.
Before the finals match William “Blitz” spoke named Gaimin Gladiators main threat for his team.
