According to South Korean media outlet "The National Daily," in an exclusive report, Kkoma is set to return to T1 as a coach!
The media outlet indicates that this information is backed by multiple sources. Kkoma, the coach, has indeed confirmed his decision to choose T1 despite receiving substantial offers from several LPL teams. After careful consideration, he has opted to return to the team where he began his coaching career.
Kkoma is widely regarded as one of the best coaches in the history of League of Legends esports. Since starting in 2013, he has claimed three S World Championship titles and secured 10 league championships.
Most of Kkoma's remarkable achievements were attained in collaboration with T1, making his return to the organization even more significant. He partnered with Faker to secure three S World Championship titles and eight league championships.
Kkoma served T1 from 2013 to 2017, holding the position of head coach from 2018 to 2019 before departing from the club.
He ventured into the LPL with Vici Gaming (VG) in the 2020 season. In 2021, he returned to South Korea and became a coach for DK, winning the LCK Spring and Summer Split championships that year.
This year, Kkoma was appointed as the head coach for the League of Legends South Korean national team at the Hangzhou Asian Games and aided the team in securing a gold medal in the esports LoL event.
