
Passion UA recruits Topa and is interested in DRILLAS player kvem
The new lineup of the Passion UA team is about to be completed.
Passion UA announced the addition of Alexey Topchienko | Topa to its roster. The new member will serve as the team's commander, taking over the duties of Rodion Smyk | fear . Earlier, it was reported that fear was about to leave the team to seek higher-level development.
Topa has been playing in the lower tiers since 2018. He was initially a member of two youth teams, Windigo Academy and NaVi Junior , and moved around a number of teams in 2021-2022, most notably participating in the 2022 IEM Rio Major with FANTASY in the RMR event.
The 25-year-old last competed for IKLA , alongside Michał Müller | MICHU and Jonas Olofsson | Lekr0 . His one-year stint with the team ended in early 2024, and he has struggled to find a new home since then.
Now he joins Passion UA as part of a major overhaul of the team’s roster, which was still missing the final piece after Vsevolod Shchurov | s-chilla decided to take a break from the competition, citing the team’s demanding year-round schedule.
Topa also wrote on the social platform: "It means a lot to me to be able to represent Ukraine. I will do my best and live up to this opportunity. I am grateful for this opportunity and I am looking forward to showing what we can achieve together."
As for the team's last piece of the puzzle, harumi revealed that they are interested in former DRILLAS player Vladyslav Korol | kvem .
