Esports World Cup 2025 was announced with a prize pool of $1,250,000

One of the largest CS2 tournaments of 2024, the Esports World Cup, is making a return. The organizers have announced the dates and prize pool for the next championship, which will take place in 2025.

Format:

The Esports World Cup 2025 will feature sixteen of the best teams from around the world, who will receive direct invitations to the event. Teams will be determined by the Global Valve Regional Standings ranking, from first to sixteenth place. Invitations will be issued based on the first available update of the ranking in June 2025.

Prize Pool:
The tournament is not only returning but also increasing its prize pool. Recall that at the Esports World Cup 2024, Natus Vincere claimed victory in the grand final by defeating G2 Esports and earned $400,000. That tournament had a prize pool of $1,050,000. In 2025, the prize pool will grow to $1,250,000. The distribution of funds is as follows:

1st place: $500,000
2nd place: $230,000
3rd-4th place: $100,000
5th-8th place: $40,000
9th-16th place: $20,000

Dates:
The Esports World Cup 2025 for CS2 will take place from August 20 to 25, 2025, in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The tournament will feature the sixteen best teams according to the Valve ranking, competing for a prize pool of $1,250,000.
