Tier 1 Tournament

The three big tier 1 events are the Masters, Championship and World Tour. They all follow the same form that starts with an open qualifier in different parts of the world. Hundreds of teams from every region have to battle for a single elimination format, and only the winners will proceed onto the closed qualifier.

The top 16 in a closed qualifier, only the best four will automatically qualify for the main event. Other 12 teams will have to face off against the four winners from the open qualifiers to secure their spot in the main event.

There are two parts that will happen for the main event: a stage where teams will play against each other and playoffs. For the final round, a best of five battle that will determine the ultimate champion.

Here’s the schedule of the closed qualifiers in the Skyesports CS2 2025 tier 1 tournament:

  • Skyesports Masters CQ: April 14-20
  • Skyesports Championship CQ: August 11-17
  • Skyesports World Tour CQ: October 13-19

Tier 2 Tournament

Starting this year is the opening of Skyesports Souvenir 2025 tier 2 event and in this tournament, it won’t have any open qualifiers. Instead it will have 12 teams, with the top four from Valve’s regional rankings getting a direct pass to the main event. So, it’s a chance for some of the best teams from different regions to show off their competence.

The remaining eight teams will have to fight their way into the main event through an online closed qualifier starting from January 20-26. This will take place on a European server, but Skyesports will cover some travel and accommodation costs for each team not already in Europe , so everyone is playing on a level field.

The eight teams in the closed qualifier will be split into two groups of four. They will compete in a GSL style format, which means that they will play a series of matches to determine who’s the best. Only the top two teams from each group will make it to the main event, so expect more intense competition.

Conclusion

The Skyesports CS2 2025 is gearing up for a massive year with four major CS2 tournaments that each player will battle for a prize pool. This is a big deal for esports fans and players around the world.

With so many intense tournaments, we can expect that these matches will be epic for CS2 players. So, get ready to dive and brace yourself for this exciting year for Skyesports CS2 Tournament 2025.
