FISSURE to host two LAN events in Belgrade in 2025

Tournament organize FISSURE has informed HLTV that they will host two LAN tournaments in 2025, which will be held in July and September in Belgrade, Serbia. The events will feature a total prize pool of $2,250,000.

With this announcement FISSURE, who organized all of the BetBoom Dacha events, has entered the fray in what promises to be a packed 2025 calendar. Thus far only ESL has an event scheduled for July 2025, but BLAST, StarLadder, ESL and Skyesports all have events planned for September 2025.

Each of FISSURE's tournaments will consist of 16 teams, invited based on the Valve Regional Standings, and will consist of a play-in and main event. The play-in portions of the events will be played online, whilst the main event will be played on LAN.

For the tournament in July, the play-in will see 16 teams split into four GSL-style BO3 groups, with the top two teams in each group proceeding to the main event. The main event will feature a single-elimination BO3 bracket, with the grand finals being BO5. $1,000,000 has been set aside for the prize pool, with $400,000 of that going to the winner.

July Edition:

Location: Belgrade, Serbia
No. of teams: 16
Play-in format (online): GSL-style groups
Main event format (LAN): Single-elimination BO3, BO5 grand final
Prize pool: $1,000,000

The September edition will utilize a BO3 Swiss system for the online play-in, with the top eight teams proceeding to the LAN main event. Single-elimination BO3 play will take over for the main event, with the grand final once again being BO5. The prize pool for this event will be $1,250,000, of which $450,000 is set aside for the winner.

September Edition:

Location: Belgrade, Serbia
No. of teams: 16
Play-in format (online): Swiss system
Main event format (LAN): Single-elimination BO3, BO5 grand final
Prize pool: $1,250,000

According to the information provided by FISSURE both tournaments would classify as Tier 1 events, as defined by Valve's tournament operating requirements for the 2025 season.
