7SEA receives its prize money for Skyesports Masters 2023 after a delay

The $245,000 tournament ended in August 2023, but 7SEA's payout took longer than other teams. According to a statement from Skyesports, due to problems with the recipient's bank, the money was returned to the sender.

The problem was resolved and players received their prize money on July 11. However, the players said the tournament organizer received a share of $18,200 and the remaining $8,200 was split between the organization and the players.

The portal also confirmed that  Gods Reign  players received their prize money on July 11, 2024. Gods Reign were the winners of Skyesports Masters 2023 and received a winnings of $53,800.

Dust2 India reached out to ELV1S of 7SEA who shared information about the timing of the payout as well as his communication with the team and Skyesports management.

We tried to contact our organization (7SEA Esports) and Skyesports till April 2024, but only recently Shiva Nandi (Skyesports CEO) informed us that the money was not credited to our organization's account due to incorrect bank details. So there was a delay and we were given a date of July 15 to receive our money. I think the Dust2 India article also helped to push the case, which inclined them to transfer the amount on July 11 and we also came to know that players from other organizations have also started receiving their prize money. So a huge thanks to Dust2.in for supporting us players and also to Santosh Pecheti for coordinating with Skyesports. We only wish Ampverse Pvt Ltd was more transparent about the delay of our prize money, and also Skyesports for not giving us any reasonable explanation about the $18.2k prize pool reduction

Skyesports is returning the funds to rebuild its reputation amid the upcoming Skyesports Championship 2024, which will attract big teams and spectators. The move is an important one for organizers as they hope to regain the trust of players and fans after lingering problems with prize money payments. The Skyesports Championship 2024, will test the organizers' ability to ensure the reliability and transparency of their tournaments.
