
Zews discusses his experience with a sudden heart condition: "This incident truly defined who I am."
Liquid coach Wilton Prado | zews recently released a video on his personal YouTube channel, sharing his experience and reflections following a heart attack in April 2022. The Brazilian coach suffered a severe heart condition, with 90% blockage in his arteries. Doctors performed angioplasty to clear the blockage.
"In the days ahead, I aim to ensure that my life aligns with the principles and moral values I believe in and to give my best in this journey. I need to reorganize my thoughts and take care of myself. My weight, mental health, and more have gone out of control."
zews described the conditions during the heart attack: "When I felt the onset of the heart attack, I was 20 kilometers away from the hospital. My girlfriend Juliana Borges doubted whether I would survive."
According to zews' girlfriend: "He mentioned that his fingers began to hurt, and then he felt a severe pain in his chest. While we were on our way to the hospital, he wanted me to drive faster, but I couldn't. At that moment, I thought he might be dying."
"I thought I was dying too. Such an event makes you reflect a lot on your life. I'm calm about it now. At least in my eyes, I've always been a good person. Everyone makes mistakes, but I've always tried to be good to everyone. I'm now more reflective than ever, considering how I behave and how I'm perceived. It's an honest examination of life and a chance to live again. This disaster truly defined who I am and the person I'll become."
Five years later, zews has found a new opportunity in his professional career. The 36-year-old Brazilian announced his return to Liquid as a coach.
