karrigan: Just renewed my contract with FaZe, not considering a return to a Danish lineup at the moment.
After advancing to the BLAST Fall Finals, FaZe's in-game leader, Finn Andersen | karrigan, had an interview with the media.
Q: With all the rumors surrounding FaZe at the moment, are you concerned about not being able to participate in the first Major on Danish soil with the current lineup?
A: I'm not concerned. Throughout my career, I've learned to constantly adapt. I try not to focus on whether we can play in the Major or if this lineup is right; it could negatively affect our performance.
karrigan admitted there are indeed a lot of uncertainties currently.
A: The most important thing is the upcoming RMR, which is crucial for many players. There are several second-tier teams and newcomers in the RMR. Starting 2-0 in the Paris Major RMR, then going 2-3 in the Last Chance was immense pressure!
During the Christmas break, a lot could happen, so the Major still feels far away. In CS:GO, three to four months feel like a long time, but in CS's new version, it feels like a year. Right now, the focus is on wrapping up this year. We'll see what happens with all these rumors swirling around FaZe, then set sail again.
Q: Would you consider returning to a Danish lineup?
A: It's hard to imagine anything other than being with FaZe right now. Since day one at FaZe, my goal has been to win a Major, be the best in the world, and build a dynasty. It seems far away now, and I just renewed my contract with FaZe.
Maybe in the future, when I'm older but still at a top-five level, I'll help a Danish team push to higher levels. But Denmark isn't short of talent, and who knows what will happen in 1-2 years. Nothing is permanent, but at this moment, I'm not considering a return to a Danish lineup.
