Virtus.pro overturns two series deficits to win WINLINE MPKBK CIS LAN title
Virtus.pro defeated Nemesis 3–2 in the WINLINE MPKBK CIS LAN Season 9 grand final, winning the last two maps to secure the championship.
Playing with Patsi as a stand-in, Virtus.pro twice recovered from a series deficit before completing its comeback on Nuke.
Nemesis takes the early initiative
Nemesis won the opening map, Cache, 13–7, before Virtus.pro responded with a 13–10 victory on Mirage.
The advantage swung back to Nemesis on Ancient, where another 13–7 result put SELLTER’s team one map away from the trophy.
Virtus.pro nevertheless kept the final alive with a 13–11 win on Dust2, forcing a fifth map after four changes in momentum.
Patsi helps complete the comeback
Virtus.pro won the Nuke decider 13–8, converting its first series lead into the championship.
Patsi finished with 81 kills, 78 deaths, 87.0 ADR and a 1.14 rating. TO0RO supplied another important contribution with 80–68 and a 1.13 rating.
For Nemesis, tex1y and SELLTER both recorded 1.14 ratings, but their performances could not prevent the deciding-map defeat.
Missed opportunity for Nemesis
Nemesis entered as the highest-ranked team in the event’s VRS field and reached the final after an unbeaten group campaign and playoff victories over WW and Black Phoenix.
The runner-up finish denied it a valuable opportunity to strengthen its Singapore Major position. HLTV’s projection placed its qualification chances at 8.9% after the final, a forecast rather than a confirmed elimination.
