KSCERATO leads FURIA Esports past aurora into Thunderpick grand final
Defending champions FURIA Esports advanced to the Thunderpick World Championship 2026 grand final with a 2–0 victory over aurora , winning Dust2 13–8 and Inferno 13–10.
The result reversed their defeat to aurora at ESL Pro League earlier in October and moved FURIA Esports within one series of retaining the title.
FURIA Esports 2–0 aurora — Dust2 13–8, Inferno 13–10
aurora selected Dust2, but FURIA Esports established a 9–3 CT-side lead. KSCERATO and YEKINDAR drove that advantage, finishing the map with 22–9 and 20–9 respectively.
aurora won five rounds after the break, but FURIA Esports secured the four required to take the opener.
On their Inferno pick, FURIA Esports moved ahead 4–1 before building an 8–4 T-side half. YEKINDAR ’s entries helped open the B site, while a late return to A caught aurora ’s defence out.
Low-buy victories halt aurora ’s recovery
FURIA Esports reached 10–6 after another exchange of force buys. A Jimpphat clutch helped aurora reduce the deficit, but their recovery was interrupted when they ran into a pistol stack at B.
FURIA Esports converted that opportunity into control of the closing rounds and completed the sweep.
KSCERATO tops the scoreboard
KSCERATO finished the series with 38 kills, 22 deaths, 91.3 ADR and a 1.67 HLTV Rating 3.0. YEKINDAR contributed 30–24, 81.9 ADR and a 1.39 rating, while molodoy added 31 kills.
None of aurora ’s players finished above a 1.00 series rating. Wicadia led their fragging with 30 kills, but aurora were unable to force a third map.
FURIA Esports advanced to face the winner of Falcons versus BetBoom, while aurora moved into the third-place match.
