BetBoom outlast Legacy to reach Thunderpick playoffs and strengthen Major position

BetBoom claimed the final Thunderpick World Championship 2026 playoff place with a 2–1 victory over Legacy , surviving three closely contested maps in the Group B decider.

The result earned BetBoom a semifinal against Falcons and delivered 62 VRS points. According to HLTV’s invite simulator, that gain was enough to put them into a qualifying position for the PGL Singapore Major.

BetBoom 2–1 Legacy — Nuke 16–13, Dust2 11–13, Mirage 13–11

BetBoom’s Nuke pick initially went against them. Legacy established an 8–4 CT-side lead, with latto and try combining for 28 first-half kills, then extended their advantage to 10–4 after winning the second-half pistol.

BetBoom recovered to force overtime and won the additional rounds 4–1, completing a 16–13 comeback.

Legacy answered on Dust2, but again had difficulty closing. BetBoom erased four map points before Legacy finally secured the last round of regulation, winning 13–11 and sending the series to Mirage.

Magnojez delivers on the decider

Magnojez provided the decisive individual performance on Mirage. His four-kill AWP defence of the B site helped BetBoom establish control, while a later 1v1 clutch brought the team into double figures.

He finished the map with 25 kills, 104.5 adr and a 1.58 rating, helping BetBoom secure another 13–11 result.

Across the series, Magnojez recorded 62 kills and 50 deaths, while d1ledez added 55–50. Legacy ’s try also reached 62 kills, but his team could not turn that output into a playoff berth.

The victory carried significance beyond Malta : BetBoom’s improved Major outlook was a projection from HLTV’s simulator, rather than an official invitation announcement.
