BIT calls for consistency as 9z recover form at Thunderpick World Championship

9z coach Bruno " BIT " Lima believes his team can return to title contention if it establishes greater consistency in reaching tournament playoffs.

The comments followed 9z 's 2–0 upset against aurora in the opening round of the Thunderpick World Championship 2026.

9z rebuild confidence after difficult months

The Latin American team enjoyed a promising first half of the year, reaching the playoffs at PGL Astana and the IEM Cologne Major.

However, subsequent tournament appearances proved less successful.

BIT acknowledged that the team's recent results had affected its confidence, with players beginning to question their ability to perform at the same level.

The victory over aurora therefore represented an important psychological boost.

Playoff consistency remains priority

BIT believes 9z have the individual talent to challenge stronger opponents but must improve their consistency across entire tournaments.

He argued that repeatedly reaching the playoff stage would eventually give the team opportunities to compete for another championship.

The coach also emphasized the importance of rebuilding the confidence that had contributed to their earlier international success.

9z will attempt to carry that momentum into the remainder of the Thunderpick World Championship.
