Valve grants BC.Game exception to qualify for Singapore Major through Asia
Valve has granted BC.Game an exception allowing the organization's Counter-Strike 2 roster to compete for a PGL Major Singapore invitation through the Asian Valve Regional Standings.
The decision reverses the immediate implications of Valve's newly introduced restrictions on regional transfers, which initially threatened BC.Game's qualification hopes.
BC.Game successfully appeals rule change
Valve had recently changed its Major qualification requirements to prevent rosters from changing their regional assignment if they had appeared on another region's VRS list during the preceding three calendar months.
The restriction was introduced following several attempts by organizations to create Asia-eligible rosters shortly before the Major invitation cutoff.
BC.Game, Sashi and WW were among the teams affected.
BC.Game coach Wiktor "TaZ" Wojtas criticized the timing of the change, while CEO Ali "Ako" Muhanned proposed that Valve remove all of the team's existing ranking points and allow the roster to compete from zero in Asia.
Valve approves current roster
Valve subsequently updated its tournament requirements exceptions list to recognize BC.Game's roster of ASAP , Magisk , mzinho , s1mple and Senzu as eligible for an Asian Major invitation.
The decision preserves BC.Game's opportunity to qualify for the PGL Major Singapore under its current lineup.
HLTV's qualification simulator had already identified the organization as having effectively secured sufficient ranking points for an invitation before the rule dispute.
