Alliance have been accused of possible match-fixing by members of the Counter-Strike community following unusual betting activity surrounding their match against Phantom Academy at United21 Season 54.

Large bet draws community attention

The allegations were raised by Feran, who highlighted a bet worth almost $350,000 placed on Phantom Academy to take a map from Alliance .

According to the information shared, the wager was placed at odds of approximately 7 and ultimately produced a return of around $740,000.

Feran questioned the result because of the significant difference between the two teams and noted that United21 Season 54 does not award VRS points, meaning the tournament does not directly influence future invitations through Valve's ranking system.

Previous Alliance defeat also highlighted

The discussion also referenced Alliance 's earlier loss to Teletubisie during the same tournament.

Alliance were defeated 0:2 in that series despite entering as favorites, with odds of approximately 3.15 offered on their opponents to win.

Those results, combined with the unusually large wager, prompted speculation within the community.
