G2 opened their BLAST Open Porto 2026 campaign with a 2:0 victory over aurora , powered by a standout performance from Artem "r1nkle" Moroz.

G2 controlled Inferno from start to finish before completing a dramatic comeback on Anubis, where aurora let a 12-7 lead slip away.

G2 began the series with a convincing 13-5 victory on Inferno.

aurora responded much better on Anubis and moved within a single round of forcing a decider after establishing a 12-7 lead.

G2 then completely turned the map around, winning nine consecutive rounds to close Anubis 16-12 and complete the sweep.

r1nkle takes over on Anubis

r1nkle was the driving force behind G2's comeback.

The Ukrainian AWPer finished the second map with 32 kills and a 1.86 rating, including a dominant CT-side performance where he posted a 23-4 record.

He also opened the defensive half with an ace using a FAMAS before switching back to the AWP and repeatedly shutting down aurora 's attacks.

Across the full series, r1nkle finished with 47 kills to 23 deaths, 106.9 adr , and a 1.56 rating.

The victory gave G2 a strong start to their BLAST Open Porto campaign, while aurora were left to recover after letting a commanding advantage on Anubis disappear.
