Luminosity benches Bymas
Luminosity have moved Aurimas "Bymas" Pipiras to the inactive roster after just over a month with the team.
The decision follows two consecutive last-place finishes, bringing an abrupt end to the Lithuanian rifler's short spell in the active lineup.
Unsuccessful return for Luminosity
Luminosity returned to professional CS2 in July by signing the former Monte quartet, with Lucas "lux" Meneghini also joining the roster and taking over as captain.
The new lineup struggled to produce the results the organization had hoped for. Luminosity finished last at both the XSE Pro League Guangzhou and the Esports World Cup, failing to match the level shown during the IEM Cologne Major era, when the team was led by GIZMY .
Bymas was unaware of the decision
Bymas revealed that he had not expected to be benched and said he only learned about the decision shortly before it was made.
"Just a few days ago, I didn't even know I would be benched. A good example of how esports works."
Despite the unexpected move, the Lithuanian thanked both the organization and his teammates for their time together.
Bymas had been part of the roster for only about a month before being moved to the inactive lineup.
Bymas acknowledged issues with his form
The rifler also admitted that he was disappointed with his own performances in official matches and had not been able to reach the level he expected from himself.
"I will work to become the player I know I can be."
With Bymas now inactive, Luminosity are left with four active players and will need to find a fifth member ahead of future competitions.
