Spirit become Esports World Cup 2026 champions

Spirit defeated FUT 3:1 in the grand final to claim the Esports World Cup 2026 title.

The best-of-five series took place on August 23, with Spirit recovering from an opening-map loss to secure the championship across four maps: Cache 10:13, Anubis 16:13, Ancient 16:14, and Nuke 13:5.

The victory earned Spirit $600,000 in prize money along with 1,000 Club Points.

Donk named the best player of the final

Danil “ Donk ” Kryshkovets was the standout performer in the deciding match.

The Spirit star once again produced one of the tournament’s strongest individual performances, playing a key role in helping his team complete the comeback and secure the championship.

Prize pool distribution

The tournament featured a total prize pool of $2 million, distributed among the top eight teams as follows:

• 1st place — Spirit — $600,000 + 1,000 Club Points

• 2nd place — FUT — $340,000 + 750 Club Points

• 3rd place — Legacy — $190,000 + 500 Club Points

• 4th place — FURIA Esports — $110,000 + 300 Club Points

• 5th–8th place — G2, Mouz , Falcons , Vitality — $60,000 + 200 Club Points each

The Counter-Strike 2 tournament ran from August 12 to 23, 2026, in Paris, France, with 32 teams competing for the $2 million prize pool.

The playoffs were held in Paris, with the grand final played on the Accor Arena stage.
