ZywOo and apEX Extend Contracts with Vitality Until 2028
Vitality has renewed contracts with two of its key veterans — Mathieu "ZywOo" Herbaut and Dan "apEX" Madesclaire. Both players will remain with the organization at least until the end of 2028.
The decision to extend the contracts was a logical continuation of one of the most successful periods in Vitality 's history. Since the arrival of ropz in January 2025, the team has won 14 trophies, including two Majors — in Austin and Budapest — and secured the Intel Grand Slam twice.
Despite not ending the season on a high and a shaky start in BLAST Bounty, ZywOo and apEX told HLTV that they never considered continuing their careers with another team.
ZywOo: "I never thought about another option"
For ZywOo, extending the contract was an obvious decision. The French sniper has been playing for Vitality throughout his entire professional career and now has the chance to spend his entire career with the organization.
I think it was the most logical decision. I never thought about another option. In my mind, it was just: "We're going to renew the contract with Vitality ." I think it was one of the most obvious contract renewals.

The 25-year-old ZywOo also admitted that only over time did he begin to consider the possibility of becoming a true one-club man.
When you think about what you can achieve with just one club and not moving anywhere, it really means something. At the end of my career, it will be nice to say: "I played for only one club." But right now, we have so many tournaments that I don't have time to think about it.

apEX could be signing his last contract
For apEX, the new deal might be his last. The French captain is currently 33 years old, and by the end of the contract, he will be almost 36.
I didn't know I would play for this long. I thought I'd finish around 30. But now I can see myself continuing for another two and a half years. It's fun. This might be my last contract, as I'll be almost 36 by the end.

At the same time, apEX doesn't plan to end his career just because of age. According to him, the decision will depend on the trust of the team, his own desire to play, and his family.
Soon, the Frenchman will become a father, so family circumstances may significantly influence his future after 2028.
