Inner Circle Sign Seven-Year-Old CS2 Player Before FACEIT Ban
Inner Circle announced the signing of “kiberkatlleta,” a seven-year-old CS2 content creator, in what appeared to be a lighthearted promotional move by the organization.
The announcement introduced him as the organization’s youngest-ever player, but the move lasted only around two days before FACEIT stepped in.
The platform banned the account shortly after the announcement, citing its minimum age requirement of 13. Despite the attention around the signing, a seven-year-old player does not meet FACEIT’s eligibility rules.
The timeline quickly became one of the shortest career arcs in CS2 . Inner Circle announced the signing, celebrated the move on social media, and saw the player banned from FACEIT within roughly 48 hours.
It remains unclear whether the organization reviewed FACEIT’s age policy before making the announcement public.
For now, kiberkatlleta will have to wait several years before meeting FACEIT’s minimum age requirement. If he continues developing as a player, the CS2 scene may hear more about him again around 2032.
