HeavyGod Signs New Long-Term Deal with G2
G2 have officially announced a contract extension for Nikita “ HeavyGod ” Martynenko, with the Israeli player signing a new multi-year deal ahead of Stage 2 at IEM Cologne.
HeavyGod joined G2 in January 2025 after Nikola “ NiKo ” Kovač moved to Falcons. Since then, he has become an important part of the team’s roster and one of its key players.
With HeavyGod in the lineup, G2 have remained a consistent presence at major tournaments. The team regularly reached playoff stages or made deep runs in group stages, keeping their place among the top competitive teams in CS2 .
Despite Vitality ’s strong run over the past year and a half, G2 still managed to claim several important titles. Their biggest success came at BLAST Open London 2025, where they won the final 3-2 and HeavyGod was named tournament MVP.
G2 also added another trophy at Stake Ranked Episode 1 shortly after signing Guy “NertZ” Iluz, further strengthening the team’s position near the top of the scene.
The new contract was signed just before the start of Stage 2 in Cologne, showing G2’s confidence in HeavyGod and the current lineup. The organization will rely on his consistency and experience in key tournament matches, where every series could decide the team’s future.
With the deal completed, G2 enter the next stage of IEM Cologne with renewed confidence and a stable core that has already proven itself at the highest level.
