The developers of Counter-Strike 2 are teasing the return of Cache in 2026

On December 29, the official CS2 account on the social network X made a post by retweeting a video recap of 2025 with a caption saying that it’s hard to choose the best moment when there are so many of them, and added that they are looking forward to 2026, where instead of the 0 there was a radiation emoji. Later, the emoji was removed and replaced with a regular 0. All of this leads the community to think about the return of Cache to the main map pool, something players have been waiting for a long time, especially after information surfaced that VALVE bought the copyright to this map from its creator.
