What is Known So Far
According to EliGE, the ban is temporary—a standard restriction likely triggered by an error in matchmaking processing or data synchronization. Similar incidents have been recorded before, where players received short-term VAC alerts without any actual violations.
Valve has not commented on the situation yet, and EliGE himself took the incident with irony, simply stating, "interesting system." In a post, he tagged the Counter-Strike account so they could lift the restriction that the system accidentally imposed, allowing him to continue playing.
This episode highlights that Valve is still working on improving the internal control and anti-cheat systems in CS2 . If such issues continue to arise, developers will need to reassess the parameters of automatic sanctions—as matchmaking stability directly impacts the reputation of the entire scene.
