Gentle Mates Replace Lynn Vision at ESL Pro League Season 22

Lynn Vision  couldn't field a full roster for ESL Pro League Season 22, and their spot will be taken by  Gentle Mates . For Gentle Mates , this is not only a chance to earn crucial VRS points but also an opportunity to join the race for a slot at the upcoming Major.

The organizers reported that Lynn Vision "could not assemble a full roster." According to section 3.2.6 of the ESL rules, if a withdrawal occurs less than two weeks before the start, the slot is given to the next team in the VRS ranking from the host region of the tournament.

Gentle Mates turned out to be that team, as BetBoom, Fnatic , SAW , and Ninjas in Pyjamas , who were higher in the rankings, either declined or couldn't obtain visas in time. And the teams below these positions are already competing in the tournament.

Gentle Mates are set to debut at the ESL Pro League against Heroic . However, the team's participation is complicated—they are currently playing at the Birch Cup in Gdansk, Poland, which runs until September 28. On the same day, ESL Pro League Season 22 Stage 1 begins, where all 16 teams must play the first round.

ESL Pro League Season 22 will take place from September 28 to October 12. The prize pool will be $850,000.
