SunPayus finds his touch again! He delivers his best single-map performance since joining G2.

Since joining G2 , Spanish sniper SunPayus has struggled to find his true role within the team, failing to prove himself in consecutive offline tournaments.

However, in the recently concluded group stage of the BLAST London Open, he put on a phenomenal performance, effectively refutating previous doubts.

In G2's new lineup's debut at IEM Cologne 2025, SunPayus ' performance was disastrous. He ended the game with the lowest rating of 0.85 in the team. He also performed poorly in the subsequent BLAST Bounty Tournament S2 and EWC, which not only made people doubt him.

On Mirage, Map 1 against FlyQuest , he put in a dominant performance, posting a 2.16 Rating, an ADR of 110.8, and a KAST of 88.2%. SunPayus continued his hot streak on Map 2, ultimately achieving his best single-map performance since joining G2.

This amazing performance finally gave G2 fans a sigh of relief. The community also joked, "G2 fans, cheers! SunPayus finally got his act together! He finally remembered how to play CS!"

At 01:30 am on Tuesday, G2 will face the strong opponent Spirit in the loser's bracket final of Group B of BLAST London Open . Only the winner will advance to the offline stage of this London Open.
