IEM Cologne 2025 Group Stage Continues on Old CS2 Version

After the release of the latest CS2 update last night, the organizers of IEM Cologne 2025 decided not to implement the new patch at the current stage of the tournament. It has been announced that the group stage will continue on the previous version of the game.

According to information published by ESL, the changes in the patch could affect balance, and therefore the fairness of matches. To avoid unpredictable situations, the transition has been postponed at least until the start of the playoffs, with a decision to be made later.
