
FaZe Crushes aurora in Lower Bracket of Group B at IEM Cologne 2025
FaZe continue their journey through the lower bracket at IEM Cologne 2025. In the lower bracket semifinals of Group B, they defeated aurora with a score of 2:0 and advance to the lower bracket final, where they will face the winner of the match between NAVI and NIP for a chance to reach the playoffs.
On the first map — Nuke, chosen by FaZe, the teams were nearly evenly matched in the first half (7:5), but after switching sides, FaZe managed to push through their opponent and closed the map with a score of 13:10. The second map — Mirage, chosen by aurora , was completely controlled by FaZe. In the first half, they crushed their opponent 11:1, and quickly secured the victory in the second half — 13:1.
The best player of the series was Helvijs "broky" Saukants, who recorded 36 kills with 20 deaths, 93 ADR.
FaZe will now play against either NAVI or NIP for a chance to advance to the playoffs, while aurora exits the tournament in 9th-12th place, earning $16,000 and $7,000 for the organization. The lower bracket final match will take place today at 18:30 CET.
