Envy Plans CS2 Return and is Exploring Options

The organization Envy is planning a return to Counter-Strike. This was announced by its CEO, Mike "hastr0" Rufail, who emphasized that the team's goal is to participate in majors. Although there are no dates, names, or even a specified region where the roster will be based, the ambition and message are clear and hard to miss.

Return with a Focus on Majors
In his recent address, Mike Rufail outlined the plans for returning to CS and made it clear that the organization does not intend to settle for mediocre results.

We're already scouting to bring back a Counter-Strike team to Envy . We don't want to just go in with a roster that doesn't really have a shot. We're just really, like, looking for the right opportunity to get Envy back to Counter-Strike majors. In a short amount of time in the CS scene, we managed to create just some of the most exciting moments in Counter-Strike history, and we want to get back to that and support some of the best players in the world, just like we did with our legendary French roster. We just want to make more memories in that game. Our organization feels pretty strongly that we kind of left it too early. It's time to go back and take care of some unfinished business in Counter-Strike.
Mike "hastr0" Rufail,

This statement underscores that this is not a fleeting idea but a comprehensive strategy for a comeback inspired by past success. Despite the powerful message, hastr0 has not yet shared any details. It's unclear whether the team will be assembled in North America or Europe , who will be in the lineup, or when announcements can be expected. The only certainty is that Envy is willing to wait to choose the right moment.

Envy 's return could shake up the professional CS2 scene. This is a club with history, a name still associated with great matches. And if the organization indeed assembles a strong roster, the competition for majors will become even fiercer. For now, it's all in the hands of time. But the very fact that brands like Envy are once again looking towards CS indicates that the discipline continues to attract and inspire.
