Complexity Risks Losing hallzerk for the Major

One of the forced substitutions at the upcoming CS2 major might occur in the Complexity lineup. The team has registered junior as a backup player in case the main sniper, Håkon “hallzerk” Fjærli, is unable to secure his American visa in time, as they announced on their social media.

Lengthy Visa Process
As explained by Complexity's head manager for the CS team, Graham "messioso" Pitt, the organization applied for a P1 visa for hallzerk after extending his contract—this occurred during IEM Dallas almost a year ago.

We started his P1 visa process as soon as he signed his last contract extension, which was back at Dallas last year, so nearly a year ago. And it's something we've been extremely open and honest about. We've mentioned it as one of the reasons we didn't want to go to FRAG and why we went to Melbourne.

The situation was further complicated by the hectic performance schedule. At the end of 2024, the team was actively traveling, including obtaining visas for a trip to China, which also delayed the visa process stages. Since then, Complexity has been in a waiting mode—the visa could be ready any day, but there are no guarantees.

Given the uncertainty, Complexity has officially registered Paytyn "junior" Johnson as a backup player for the upcoming major. If hallzerk does not receive his visa, the main lineup will look like this:
