Astralis has closed the Astralis Talent project after four years of work

The Astralis organization has officially announced the closure of its Astralis Talent academy. The reason for this decision was “efforts to simplify the structure and ensure a stable financial position,” according to the club's statement.

In our ongoing efforts to streamline the organization and secure a healthy business, we regret to announce that we will discontinue the operations of Astralis Talent.

Rumors of a sale and a series of failures
The decision to disband the academy is another step in the downsizing of Astralis ' operations. Earlier, it was reported that some of the staff had been laid off, as well as the possible sale of the organization or the CS division. On the back of these news, it became known that the main Astralis team failed to qualify for the BLAST.tv Major in Austin , which only intensified the crisis within the organization.

Heritage and players
Astralis Talent was created at the end of 2020, and since then, the team has participated in local LAN tournaments and online leagues. Among its best achievements are victories at POWER Ligaen Season 23, Gamebox Festival 2022, and NPF Invitational 2022.

Many promising players have passed through the academy, including:

Patrick “Patti” Larsen
Rasmus “Zyphon” Nordfoss (now plays for Preasy)
Alexander “br0” Bro - spent almost a year in Talent before returning to the main roster of Astralis in 2024.
Frederik “Fessor” Sørensen
Alexander “Altekz” Givskov

What's next?
Currently, all players in the academy are free agents:

Andreas “kiR” Kirstein
Emil “kroK” Wiedemann
Andre “Zanto” Christiansen
Richart “ANSG1” Saleela Nielsen
Elliot “suma” Nissen-Jørgensen
Dennis “Rytter” Rytter (coach)

Astralis concluded the statement with words of support for the young Danish talent and promised to continue to monitor the local scene.
