ECSTATIC Co-founder Reveals Details of Record 0:13 Loss to NaVi Junior
One of the most curious moments in CS2 history occurred in October 2024: the team ECSTATIC lost to NaVi Junior on the map de_ancient with a score of 0:13 in just 13 minutes and 27 seconds.
This became the fastest map in the history of the competitive CS:GO/ CS2 scene. However, it wasn’t the defeat itself that caused the biggest stir, but the explanation for it provided by the co-founder of ECSTATIC .
Before Everything Went Wrong
The match was part of the European Pro League Season 20, where ECSTATIC appeared quite competitive on the first two maps. They showed no signs of physical discomfort, and their captain TMB played confidently and was one of the best in the lineup. However, the third map — Ancient — ended in a lightning-fast 0:13 defeat.
What Happened
The co-founder of ECSTATIC , zipeL, explained the reasons for the defeat under a post about the fastest map in CS history. According to him, the team captain TMB was taking a shower before the match and accidentally splashed bleach in his eyes. This supposedly made it impossible for him to see the screen properly. Additionally, due to stress, he experienced temporary vocal cord numbness, preventing him from fulfilling his role as the caller.
But that wasn't all. According to zipeL, the entire team suffered from food poisoning and experienced vomiting throughout the map. He claims that each player vomited three times per round — a total of 39 times in 13 minutes. Strangely enough, the players continued the match, even though it seemed like a situation close to a force majeure.
In his post, zipeL noted that in the next match against the same NaVi Junior , again on the map Ancient , ECSTATIC secured a confident victory, hinting that without the emergency circumstances, the outcome of the October game could have been entirely different. However, in reality, two matches occurred between these encounters: on February 15, 2025, NaVi Junior defeated ECSTATIC on Ancient again — with a score of 13:8, and only on March 8 did ECSTATIC manage to take revenge on the same map with a score of 13:9. Thus, the "next match" was not actually the next one but took place only after one more game.
This casts doubt on the claim that a "healthy" ECSTATIC would have immediately secured a victory. Especially since TMB , despite the alleged vision and voice issues, statistically remained the best in the lineup even in that ill-fated match.
Regardless of whether one believes the story about the bleach and food poisoning, the fact remains — this match became the fastest in CS2 history. zipeL also calls it an achievement, emphasizing that other teams have lost 0:13 without any extraordinary circumstances.
