Mouz and Vitality have secured their spots in the playoffs of the BLAST Open Spring 2025 by defeating Spirit and Virtus.pro respectively. After intense matches, both teams continue their quest for the title, leaving their opponents in the tournament's lower bracket.
Mouz vs. Spirit
The first map, Dust2, began with Spirit 's dominance, confidently taking the first half (9:3) and easily closing the map at 13:3. However, Mouz made a comeback. On Nuke, their pick, Mouz showed resilience, pushing the game into overtime, where Spirit couldn't hold on – 16:13 in favor of the Europeans.
Ancient was a true battle, but Mouz proved to be slightly stronger. After even halves (7:5, 5:7), Spirit couldn't withstand the pressure in overtime and fell 22:25. Noteworthy were the intense moments from Donk , who showed his emotions strongly, which backfired on him.
Vitality vs. Virtus.pro
Virtus.pro selected Anubis but faced stiff resistance from Vitality . By the end of the first half (7:5), the French controlled the game, and after switching sides, they finished the map 13:6.
Inferno, chosen by Vitality , was even tougher for VP. The first half (8:4) demonstrated the strength of Vitality 's attack, and after switching sides, they quickly closed the match – 13:5.
