The Huns replace ATOX at BLAST Open Lisbon 2025 due to ESIC ban

BLAST announced that The Huns will take the place of ATOX at the upcoming BLAST Open Lisbon 2025. The reason for the replacement is the temporary suspension of ATOX from all tournaments due to a block from ESIC.

ATOX qualified for the tournament through the closed qualifier for Asia, where they defeated The Huns 2-0 in the grand final. And obviously, the team that took second place in the qualification should replace the first.

The first match for The Huns at BLAST Open Lisbon 2025 will be against Spirit in the opening match of Group A. The match starts at 12:00 CET and will be the opening match of the tournament.

BLAST Open Lisbon 2025 will take place from March 19 to 30 in Copenhagen and Lisbon. The group stage will be held at the BLAST studio in Copenhagen, Denmark, and the playoffs at MEO Arena - Lisbon, Portugal . The prize pool of the tournament is $400,000.
