donk is this year's Top 1 contender, and he has participated in offline CS tournaments in Tomsk, Russia, from 2019 to 2021. Let's learn about the donk in his childhood through his original teammates RomaNgo and k1marich.

The promising little fatty

RomaNgo first recalled his first meeting with donk: "It was the first offline tournament in our city. In Tomsk, only the basement had regular computers. I was waiting to play games when I suddenly heard a squeaking sound. I approached and saw a little person who was less than 1.5 meters tall. Small and chubby. I looked at his platform level, and he was already level eight. Looking at his gameplay, I immediately realized that he was an unusual child. We didn't have anyone else who could provide so much information like him. In other words, he could understand the tricks of team CS immediately. He always communicates in a friendly and professional manner." k1marich also met donk there: "As soon as we arrived offline, we saw him. He has grown up now, but he was still small then. We thought, oh my god, this is so funny. Where did this kid come from? We thought we would be beaten by the opponents, but donk led us to victory, and then we went home to sleep."

Can't drink a glass of Pepsi, watching "Happy Ball" before the match

What does donk watch before the match? That's right, he watches cartoons. k1marich shared: "During the offline tournament, I remember when we were resting, he was watching "Happy Ball" (Note: "Happy Ball" is the most popular cartoon in Russia). I asked him what he was doing, and he said he was recharging himself."

Although it sounds like a joke, it is still very interesting, especially considering that donk was so young at the time. However, donk doesn't watch "Happy Ball" much anymore.

During the competition, teammates also tease donk: "When he was 12 or 13 years old, he could stand on your legs or pat your back. Because he was so small, we liked to tease him."

Donk : Perseverance is greater than talent

According to donk's former teammates, he is bound to succeed: "donk is a very stubborn person. I remember him telling me that he would play deathmatch after waking up and then go to school. After coming home from school, he would continue playing in the competition."

When he initially encountered something unpleasant, donk would also get angry and sad. He was very sad when he failed to enter FPL. At that time, his teammates comforted donk and said that everything would come in due time, all he needed to do was wait.

donk who hasn't forgotten his old teammates

Although donk has become famous, he has not forgotten his old teammates. Nowadays, he still replies to his teammates on social media, and sometimes shares interesting cat videos with them. That's right, donk is also a cat lover.

When they gather with their old teammates in daily life, sometimes there are some influences. Because there are always donk's fans in public places constantly inviting him for a photo, so donk and his old teammates often gather in private homes.

Congratulations to donk's success

donk's former teammates are genuinely happy for his success: "I am proud of him. I am not jealous of him because we are different people, walking on different paths. His path is more difficult than all of us. He also has good academic performance and has allocated his time reasonably." RomaNgo did consider pursuing esports, so he chose to give up his studies. Unfortunately, he did not become a professional player. k1marich is also striving to live a good life: "After all, a 22-year-old person needs to think about saving money. Although I can still play CS, I don't have as much time as before. I have become a chef. Maybe I should contact Spirit and see if their training base needs a chef. If I have the opportunity, I will definitely go."
