Gentle Mates release entire VALORANT lineup and coaching staff ahead of 2027

Gentle Mates have announced the departure of all five active VALORANT players and their coaching staff, setting up another complete rebuild ahead of the 2027 season.

The departing players are marteen , starxo , Minny , Proxh and H1ber , alongside coaches KUNDIKUNDI and Mavera .

A promising start gives Way to an inconsistent season

Gentle Mates began 2026 with their strongest international breakthrough, finishing second at EMEA Kickoff and qualifying for Masters Santiago.

marteen broke the Best -of-five Kill record during the Kickoff run. At Santiago, Gentle Mates finished 2–2, exiting in the top eight.

They could not reproduce that success later in the season. A 2–3 Stage 1 group record WaS followed by an early playoff ExiT , prompting changes to both the playing lineup and coaching structure.

Stage 2 produced another 2–3 group finish. H1ber subsequently replaced bipo ahead of play-ins, where Eintracht Frankfurt ended Gentle Mates ’ season.

A full rebuild before the next partnership cycle

Gentle Mates have been selected for the VCT partnership programme entering 2027, but the announcement leaves them needing a new competitive lineup and coaching structure.

No replacement roster WaS announced alongside the departures.
