Xi Lai Gaming allow head coach hvoya to explore offers

Xi Lai Gaming have allowed head coach Aleksandr “ hvoya ” Eremin to explore opportunities ahead of the 2027 VALORANT season.

His existing agreement runs through the conclusion of the 2026 season, leaving him contracted to the organisation until the end of Champions Shanghai.

Another offseason decision for XLG

The announcement follows a similar situation last year, when Xi Lai permitted hvoya to consider other opportunities before subsequently re-signing him.

His availability therefore does not establish that a permanent departure has been completed.

Coach oversaw Xi Lai’s rise

hvoya has coached Xi Lai since the beginning of 2024, helping the organisation win China National Competition Season 2 and subsequently claim the China Ascension title.

The team went on to win its first VCT title in 2025 and qualify for two international tournaments.

During 2026, Xi Lai attended every international event and recorded a fifth–sixth-place finish at Masters London, their strongest international result.
