FUT Esports sweep JD Gaming in Champions Shanghai opener

FUT Esports opened their VALORANT Champions 2026 campaign with a 2:0 victory over JD Gaming in Group A.

The Turkish side dominated Ascent 13:1 before recovering from a large early deficit on Summit to complete the sweep.

FUT crush JDG on Ascent

FUT produced one of the most dominant halves of the tournament on their own map pick.

The EMEA representatives won all 12 rounds of the first half to take a perfect 12:0 lead.

JD Gaming managed to secure just one round after the side switch before FUT closed Ascent 13:1.

s0pp finished the map 20/6/1, while KROSTALY recorded a 17/4/3 statline.

FUT overturn Summit deficit

JD Gaming responded strongly on Summit.

The Chinese side won the opening four rounds and took an 8:4 advantage into halftime.

FUT immediately erased the deficit after the side switch by winning four consecutive rounds and later moved ahead 11:9.

JDG managed to pull the score back to 10:11, but FUT took the final two rounds to complete a 13:10 comeback.

xeus led the winners with a 23/17/3 statline, while s0pp added 21 kills.
