LOUD sweep EDward Gaming in Champions Shanghai opener

LOUD made a strong start to VALORANT Champions 2026 with a 2:0 victory over EDward Gaming in their Group B opening match.

The Brazilian side won Lotus 13:8 before controlling Summit 13:5 to set up a winners' match against Team Vitality .

LOUD take over EDG's Lotus pick

EDward Gaming opened Lotus with the first two rounds, but LOUD quickly took control.

The Brazilians won nine of the next ten rounds to build a 9:3 halftime lead.

EDG managed to close the gap after the side switch, reaching 8:12, but LOUD secured the final round to finish the map 13:8.

tkzin was the standout player with a 28/12/3 statline.

LOUD dominate Summit

LOUD were even more comfortable on their own map pick.

After an even start, they closed the first half by winning four consecutive rounds to lead 8:4.

LOUD then added another four rounds immediately after the break and allowed EDward Gaming just one more before closing Summit 13:5.

DaviH finished the map 17/8/8, while tkzin added another 19 kills.

LOUD advance to face Team Vitality for a direct place in the playoffs, while EDward Gaming will meet Global Esports in an elimination match.
