Two major upsets in Americas Stage 2 Play-Ins set up a dramatic upper bracket finale. FURIA knocked out defending champions G2 Esports 2-1 and Evil Geniuses eliminated Cloud9 2-1 - both results at heavy odds - to earn the right to fight for direct playoff qualification.

G2 came into Play-Ins as Stage 1 champions with a clear path to playoffs in mind. FURIA didn't care. koalanoob took MVP with 248 ACS across three maps, FURIA won Haven and Breeze after dropping Split. G2 now drop to the lower bracket alongside Cloud9 , Sentinels and KRÜ.

EG Flip the Script on C9

Cloud9 were favored at but OXY couldn't carry it alone - 299 ACS and MVP honours in a losing effort. EG took Haven and Sunset after C9 ran through them on Breeze 13-6. dgzin led EG with 219 ACS. C9 head to the lower bracket.

What's Next

MIBR face ENVY and FURIA take on Evil Geniuses in the upper bracket, with both winners earning direct Stage 2 Playoffs spots. The losers drop into the lower bracket, where G2, Cloud9 , Sentinels and KRÜ are already waiting for a second chance at qualification.
