Valorant will officially not support cross-platform play

After Valorant was released on the XBOX and PS5 game consoles, the gaming community wondered whether there would be shared servers for cross-platform play between them and PC players. Recently, representatives of Riot Games officially announced that there will be no cross-platform play between console and PC players.

What is known about the situation
Yesterday, one of the data miners found a mention in the game files that Riot Games plans to add cross-platform play between PC and PS5/XBOX to Valorant in the future. Subsequently, this news was also promoted by other well-known Valorant media outlets and various sources. The well-known Valorant News channel, referring to the data miner, created a post on X.

But after these rumors began to spread online, Riot Games denied them. The official Valorant account responded to the post and stated, “This is not true.” Thus, the company denied the appearance of cross-platform play between the PC and console versions of the game.

The Valorant community reacted positively to this information, as in cross-platform shooters, such as Call of Duty Warzone, console players have an aim assist that gives them an advantage and automatically brings the CrosshaiR to the target.
