Trace Esports claimed a 2:1 victory over Bilibili Gaming in the Alpha group at VCT 2025: China Stage 2. The first map, Haven, ended 6:13 in favor of Bilibili Gaming , but Trace bounced back with a narrow 15:13 win on Icebox and closed the series with a dominant 13:6 on Ascent. This victory secured the team a playoff spot with at least a fourth-place finish in the group.

This marks the third group stage win for Trace Esports , guaranteeing them a playoff spot with at least a fourth-place finish. Bilibili Gaming , meanwhile, had already secured their playoff berth with a previous win and now hold a 3:1 group record following this loss. Both teams remain in contention to finish in the top three of the group, which would allow them to start the playoffs from the upper bracket.

VCT 2025: China Stage 2 runs from July 3 to August 31. Twelve partner teams from the Chinese region are competing for two direct slots at Champions 2025 and valuable CN points, which will determine two additional teams that will qualify for the world championship.
