TenZ Officially Parts Ways with Sentinels

Legendary American professional player Tyson " TenZ " Ngo had already stepped back from competitive play months ago and transitioned into a streaming role within the Sentinels organization. However, it has recently been confirmed that TenZ has officially ended his collaboration with the team, marking a complete end to his journey with Sentinels .

TenZ 's Career
Tyson " TenZ " Ngo is a Canadian esports player who became one of the most recognizable figures in the Valorant scene. In April 2020, TenZ became the first professional Valorant player signed by Cloud9 . He also made history as the first player in North America to reach the highest rank, Radiant, during the game's beta phase. In April 2021, TenZ was loaned to Sentinels to replace a suspended player. His outstanding performances led Sentinels to purchase his contract from Cloud9 in June 2021 for an estimated $1.25 to $1.5 million.

Throughout his career, TenZ earned approximately $180,517 in prize money and secured numerous top finishes, including:

4th place at VALORANT Champions 2024
1st place at VALORANT Masters Madrid 2024
1st place at VCT 2021: North America Stage 3 Challengers Playoff
1st place at VALORANT Masters Reykjavík 2021
1st place at VCT 2021: North America Stage 2 Challengers Finals
1st place at VCT 2021: North America Stage 2 Challengers
1st place at VCT 2021: North America Stage 1 Masters

He also set several major records.

The first was at VCT Masters Reykjavík 2021, where Sentinels won the tournament without losing a single map, and TenZ was named the MVP of the finals.
The second came at VCT Masters Madrid 2024, where he claimed his second international title, becoming the first player to win two Masters events with the same organization.

End of the Road with Sentinels
As mentioned earlier, seven months after taking on the role of content creator at Sentinels , TenZ has officially ended his association with the organization. This was revealed during one of his livestreams, where he confirmed the departure. Additionally, Tyson has removed all references to Sentinels from his social media profiles and Twitch account.

It remains uncertain whether we’ll see TenZ back on the professional Valorant stage. Perhaps he will appear at future events as an analyst or guest.
