EMEA Esports Head Shares News from First Test Day

The head of EMEA esports, Daniel Ringland, shared updates about the first test day on his personal profile on X. In his message, he mentioned that new infrastructure had been implemented, including high-performance PCs.

Daniel noted that today went very well and that many people are working day and night to ensure everything runs smoothly for the viewers.

Things went really well today. New infrastructure was implemented, including PCs with higher specs, and gameplay tests have been conducted on multiple maps with no unexpected issues.

A whole bunch of people are working day and night to get things up and running for you all. But, the bigger stress test will come tomorrow when pro teams join us on-site and trial the new infrastructure using their own peripherals. Naturally we’ll need to emulate a live game experience to truly feel confident with the new set up.

Additionally, the head of EMEA reported that the most intense day will be April 30th, when professional players arrive for the stress test. He assured that if all goes well, fans can expect official news the next day.

Provided that goes well, fans can expect a more official update tomorrow, including an update about the revised showday date. That might come quite late in the day though, given Playtest timings. Just so you’re aware!

Specifications of the upgraded PCs:

Previously, VCT 2025: EMEA Stage 1 took a short break due to frequent technical issues, which both players and viewers complained about. Following the incident with the “longest game in VCT history,” the continuation of the event was urgently halted, and a decision was made to improve the quality of equipment and resolve technical issues with local servers.
