January 27 marked a decisive day for two teams in the Valorant Champions Tour who lost their chances to qualify for Masters Bangkok: Global Esports and Team Secret . Both teams faced elimination in their respective matches during the VCT 2025: Pacific Kickoff.

Global Esports vs. Detonation FocusMe
The final matchday before the weekend began with a showdown between Global Esports and Detonation FocusMe . One team would exit the tournament and prepare for the upcoming VCT 2025: Pacific Stage 1. Unfortunately for Global Esports , they failed to overcome Detonation FocusMe , losing 0:2 in maps (Abyss 8:13, Split 12:14).

Rex Regum Qeon vs. Team Secret
Team Secret became the fourth team to leave the competition after losing their lower bracket match against Rex Regum Qeon . Despite securing a win on their map pick, Lotus, Team Secret couldn’t withstand Rex Regum Qeon ’s momentum on the following maps. Rex Regum Qeon advanced with a 2:1 victory and will next face Nongshim RedForce in another elimination match.

The VCT 2025: Pacific Kickoff is taking place from January 18 to February 9 at the Sangam Colosseum in seoul , South Korea. Twelve partner teams from the VCT program are competing for two invitations to the Masters Bangkok tournament and valuable Pacific Points, critical for qualifying for the World Championship.
