XLG Esports secures spot in VCT China

 This achievement was made possible by their dominant victory over  Rare Atom  in the final of the VALORANT Champions Tour 2024: Ascension China.

What Does a Slot in VCT China Mean?

VCT China is the top-tier league in the Chinese region for Valorant, where teams compete throughout the season for a chance to participate in prestigious international tournaments like Masters and Valorant Champions. These tournaments come with substantial prize pools. Additionally, competing in the VCT offers financial benefits to teams, as Riot Games shares revenue from sales of themed skins with the league’s participants.

I was dreaming to go into the VCT as a player, but I managed to go in as a head coach. I am glad that our project worked out and I want to say big thanks to everyone who was involved in our journey. Finally, it is a time to relax a bit, can’t wait what future holds for us.

XLG Esports ' Journey to VCT China

For  XLG Esports , this marks their second season in Valorant. Last season, the team struggled to make an impact and missed out on securing a VCT spot. However, this year, they showed remarkable improvement, sweeping  Rare Atom  3-0 in the grand final of VALORANT Champions Tour 2024: Ascension China, earning their coveted place in the top Chinese league.

The team now faces a new challenge: competing in VCT China, where they will go head-to-head with the best teams in the region, vying for a chance to perform on international stages. This milestone opens new doors for growth, both for the organization and the players.
