In the first elimination match of the losers' bracket, FPX was heavily targeted by Sentinels from the start. This led to a poor performance on the first map chosen by their opponents. This state continued into the second map, where their poor selection of strategies ultimately left them unable to hold on. As attackers in the Lotus Ancient City, they failed to make much impact and only managed to secure 5 points after switching to defenders. The second map ended with a 5-13 defeat, resulting in their elimination by Sentinels.
